Steering Committee
The California Summer Reading Program is guided by a steering committee
whose members develop theme-based summer reading resources, present at summer
reading training workshops, staff the summer reading booth at the CLA
conference, encourage participation in CSLP, and provide advice to CLA staff
on the development of summer reading in California. Members include
children's, teen, and adult services librarians. Committee members serve a
three-year term and their libraries must use the CSRP summer reading theme
during their term of service.
The committee corresponds by email during the year, and meets in person at the annual CLA conference. The chair and incoming chair participate in at least one committee of the national Collaborative Summer Library Program (CSLP) and attend the annual CSLP meeting.Steering committee members
